You know, having been in Toronto area till recently, I consistently have trouble understanding why people make such a big deal about the Guvernment. Really. OK, it's pretty big and has a fancy laser. That's it. The phazon actually kinda sucks cuz they usually don't know how to tune it and it's way too distorted (occasionally they get it right). The crowd is pretty shady except for special events on weekdays when you get more cool peeps. Yes, they are the only ones consistently bringing in good talent in T.O. (except Viva recently, which I have not been to but is supposedly amazing), but what's the damn point if there's never enough room to dance. Not to mention you might pass out from the heat\humidity. Guv has money, but overall sucks. I still go for most big events there, but last couple of times I've stayed in the Kool Haus which is much nicer.
I've never had the pleasure of checking Aria out but will soon. Montreal is only five hours from Hartford and I'll be coming down soon to party and visit my sister. Hope to get to meet some TA's when I do. :) |
