the party is a vinyl reunion
vinyl= a club in nyc he was resident at from about 99/2000 to 2004
so it's gonna be a night dedicated to classics
he usually spins from 1-8/9
with this new announcement tho with this being his farewell party
i honestly dont know what to expect now between what he will play and how late it will go
i honestly hope it's not his last party guy is the "dj's DJ" a legend and a great person...year after year he stayed true to his sound and kept edm underground
i guess as the years go by and you dont put out any records and dont tour as much it takes a toll
i do respect him for not "selling out", i wish him the best with his finances and getting his mind right
he has been doing this for 30 years, iam sure within a year of him not playing hes gonna get that itch to play again
if the 28th happens to be his last party then it will def be one for the books

i know he has inspired many a dj. so glad i got to see him a few times, one of them being in Ibiza at Space. wasn't my favorite set but damn the production was insane :)
first time i saw him he came on Sunday morning in Miami after another party i was attending, i didn't want to leave but had a flight to catch (early in my edm years, i learned to never leave miami on sunday during conference after that)

No chance he is done. Just like everyone else that said they were done(Judge Jules, Danny Rampling, etc..) He will step away from DJing for a year or two and come right back. Guy loves it too much.
If this is really the last time he plays it would be a real shame.
Some of the best sets I ever experienced have been from him. Not many DJ's can play 7-8 hours and make it interesting.
And I guess this means he will be canceling EDC too? :(

this does sadden me but I gotta say, good for him! I'm glad to see he is doing this on his own terms. if he feels he is missing something in life, he should find out what it is. as much as he has pleased us, he feels the need to please himself and we, as fans, should let him do that and if he should return, we will be there(hopefully). ;)
