Sorry Dave, don't mean to hijack the subject, just i heard about this a few days ago, forgot and then your thread reminded me. I can't beleive how little coverage it got.

RIP Slacker (Shem McCauley).

For those of you that don't know or were not familiar, Slacker was one of the biggest names in the 90's and virtually single handedly created the prototype for tech-house with this absolute stormer from 1996:



I remember this being the track of the night back in London 1996, and the club just going bonkers from hearing something so fresh. I still get goosebumps from even hearing a few seconds of those samples.

John digweed, a long time friend paid tribute to him on his transitions show in January, and included one of the most popular mixes ever aired:
