Honestly, I think it's because he found GOD.
In a few months he will be going door to door, giving away Jehovah's Witnesses' brochures and selling his vinyls to anyone who answers the door. |

| The thing is it's all relative....If you figure the cost of his loft in NYC alone, costs him an arm and leg. His schedule for the most part is a Gig every 2 weeks, the year before It was even less. I don't think he's close to Rich, which is why he started touring more again. I'm sure he lives very well, If he took more gigs, maybe a little more business orientated without selling out and saying true. I think he would be making a lot more than he does. 250 K, to me ain't rich, especially if it's not managed well. You're living well, but far from Rich. Touring and playing music......nice life, bit of a drama queen.....but Still.....he's the man and earned the right to piss and moan. Perhaps he wants to settle down. Seen it coming, and sure he will back in the summer. |

True true, I also respect him a lot for not doing 2 gigs/week and committing himself fully for that gig, playing insane amount of hours.
You have to be fresh to do something like that, you can't do that 2 x a week.
So yes, I could def understand he didn't put that much money aside. |

and I'm a HUGE DT fan, but seriously? like, seriously?
he clearly doesn't eat at McDonald's.
he DJ'd in IBZ wearing special edition D&G jeans, covered in studs or rineshtones, or something (unclear vision at the time..).
when he did his set in MTL until 5:30pm, he was wearing D&G PJs or boxers... he announced that after he got changed?
50 000$/13 hour set is still 4 167$/hour.

Well said.
It's sad to see people get so caught up in the money and then lose track of what got them doing this in the first place. Maybe after doing the whole DJ thing for so long, he doesn't look at this the same way as when he started. We can't really put ourselves in his position, but I really hope he thinks twice before going down like this. He will be known as the burnout DJ who threw a fit because he couldn't pay for his 3 houses, instead of the living legend who pushed House music forward in a way that others can only dream of. |

I was really surprised that there wasn't a thread about this in the mtl forum because he LOVES you guys. We had one in TOTA and he clearly doesn't care much for us lol.
