When Markus Schulz (ranked #9 on DJ Mag) set up the Coldharbour label in 2005, he had a clear vision of what would eventually turn into the musical realm that is Coldharbour Recordings. To celebrate its ongoing success, the label proudly presents its very own Coldharbour Night, which will be the 2nd one ever!

Some grow up with musical aspirations from early childhood, others are thrown into it because they were destined to. Unlike many of his peers, his passion for music came much later in life. He grew up to normal parents, not musicians. He was not classically trained in music theory nor has he taken music lessons, but what he did have is a bottomless well of creativity which would come to true fruition later on.

A true perfectionist at heart, a trait he proudly carries on his sleeve. Every avenue he takes is paved with utmost attention to detail, which has not gone unnoticed by peers and fans alike. This recognition couldn't come higher than being named his favorite producer by the world's #1 DJ in DJ Mag. Whether performing in front of crowds of 200 or 20,000, In a remarkably short period of time he's managed to set a name for himself amongst the DJ elite. The summation of his rise came also as one of his most humbling moments, when he was nominated as the best breakthrough DJ at the 26th annual IDMAs during the Winter Music Conference. Backed up by the fact that he's the 2nd highest DJ Mag ranked Trance DJ on the Western Hemisphere, is a testament of his work ethic and devotion to his craft. Better known to his family and friends as Adrian Ivan, it’s under the assumed name of Mr Pit that he’s spent the last 5 years delivering one block-rocking track after another to the world’s trance floors.
Adrian’s studio story began halfway through the last decade when he produced a clutch of well-received tunes for underground imprints like Grooved, Emotive and Super6. In early 2008 he composed what turned out to be his breakthrough track - the epically melodic ‘Shana’. It was snapped up by Coldharbour Recordings and midway through the year became Pit’s debut release on the label. In a charge led by trance overlord (and Coldharbour label boss) Markus Schulz, the genre’s DJ hierarchy hammered it – turning it into one of the tracks of the year.
Thus begun a flourishing artist/label relationship that over the last 4 years has gone from strength to strength and seen the release of over a dozen tracks. Near singlehandedly putting his native Romania on the genre’s map, through tracks like the ‘The Cube’, ‘Vanguard’, the Vicky Fee vocalled ‘Back For More’, ‘Unchanged’ and ‘Deluxe’, Pit established himself as a major production force. Now a cornerstone of the Coldharbour label (and seen by fans as one of its key latter-day sound designers), most recently it’s been the likes of ‘Sky Traffic’, ‘Stamina’ and ‘Overload’ that’s seen Mr Pit continue to reign supreme.

Two heads are better than one - a maxim evidenced by the production and spinning union of Grube & Hovsepian. G&H came into being in 2008 when Florida-based producer Tim Grube reached out to LA-based Mike Hovsepian. Having heard SMG honcho Markus Schulz playing Mike’s tracks on his Global DJ Broadcast show, Tim had picked up on the Coldharbour-edged themes contained in his solo productions. Recognizing a like-mind, he suggested an east-to-west coast spanning production & spinning partnership – a challenge that Mike readily accepted.
Together, in an incredible short space of time, they’ve carved their musical mark, building up a formidable foundation discography. To date the duo have served up a proverbial sound-storm of club-rocking tracks for many respected labels. High Contrast, Arnej Music, Club Elite and (naturally enough) Coldharbour have shared the spoils of hard fired audio like ‘Invisible’, ‘Conviction’ and ‘Pressure’, as well as their Klauss Goulart collaboration ‘Territory’. Their club ordinance has found its way into an increasing high profile litany of DJs wallets - Markus Schulz, Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, Above & Beyond, and Gareth Emery being just some of regular deck supporters. Most recently the pair teamed up with fellow US producer Elevation for the rapaciously uplifting ‘City of Angels’ (due for release Q1 2012 thru Coldharbour Recordings).

Sayphonik, a.k.a. Phillip Saypanya, quickly gained a following when he started playing shows produced by legendary Seattle promoters like Lovetribe under the alias, DJ LaOboYy, starting back in 2004. Armed with a noodle box of records and his own bootleg remixes on CDs, Sayphonik developed a reputation for technically sound mixing and unique remixes.
Since his depart to Los Angeles to pursue his passion for music, Sayphonik has been hand selected by Shogun from Armada to open for him and has been busy performing at some of LA’s top EDM clubs such as Circus and Belasco, while running a deeply passionate crew called the Underground Heroes. Sayphonik’s remixes and productions within the last two years have all been signed to various popular trance/progressive labels such as Silent Shore Records, Neuroscience, Factual Records, etc., and one coming up on Ferry Corsten’s home label, Flashover.
With productions supported by artists such as Paul Oakenfold, Menno De Jong, Roger Shah, Shogun, Aly & Fila, tyDi, Andy Moor, Nitrous Oxide, Ernesto Vs Bastian, Grube & Hovsepian, Suzy Solar, Amurai, ReOrder, Lemon & Einar K, Matt Cerf, etc., there is no telling where this guy could go within the next couple of years with high profile projects in the works for 2012!
