I just finished this song...was wondering what you guys thought. Although I'm a total n00b, i was wondering how you guys actually make Trance/Techno music. Is it a midi keyboard or a soundloop process?

You use a DAW like Logic or FL Studio to make dance music. My suggestion is to listen to some current electronic music and find the genres you like. The song you made is sort of the stereotypical 'trance' song that newcomers have in their head. It is very dated sounding.
If you want to make trance, this is an example of a Trance song trance DJs, trance labels or trance fans would actually be looking for in the year 2012:
Also, give it time. If you are just starting and you have a knack for producing, it will probably be about 2 years before you have your first good (but not excellent) song.

Yes, I use FL Studio 10 but I also use a midi keyboard. I also use soundloops, thanks for the imput however.

I am in complete agreement with trancelover. Go onto google and do some research on trance structure, sound design, music theory, and mixing with whichever DAW you use. Also listen to your favorite trance artist and understand the structure and elements used in his/her track. For my drums, hi hats, cymbals, etc I never really use a loop, this only takes away the very important values of 'DIY' (well to me atleast). Music takes time, to grow, to create, and to catch the ears of fellow trance goers.
