What the flying , you tweak a few things add a few explosions and a couple of scratchy noises here and there and you get to call it a remix?

remixing was originally attended for adding just short details..maybe just a shaker or a new hi hat pattern or whatever...it later involved onto to entirely new beats being created etc......the latter is creative but this is just as correct.

why the hell would i want to buy another original or a track that is even worse than the original? At least be different, then i could judge which mix i prefer.

There's quite a few "lazy mixes" these days, that said I think sometimes we're spoiled by some of the mixes which are truly epic, quite a few from Alex M.O.R.P.H have been sublime.

Yeah, and sometimes they even didn't call it a remix back then e.g. René Et Gaston - Vallée De L'armes and the better known remake Scooter - Vallée De Larmes.
