Go-To Compressor Plug-in OR Best Compressor Thread

| What is the go-to compressor that you guys use? I want to try something other than Ableton's native one and would be interested to know what people here are using. I do have a couple in mind but the question is mostly geared toward what people use at the moment for most of their compression needs. |

I went through that thread and I like it. Sorry to start another compression thread. I'd be interested in trying something that colors the sound as well as something more transparent. Don't get me wrong, I like Ableton's compressor and I'm great with it now, but I wanna try getting some different feeling and diversify a little bit. I use Ableton in-house effects for almost everything and I don't want to get stuck in a cycle of stagnancy. |

One compressor that I've been digging for color lately is the Waves H-Comp. I got it with the Gold bundle update and it's really nice (as is the H-Delay btw). One cool feature is the ability to sync the release to tempo, rather than just time-based.

There was a thread about the Ableton's native Compressor but I cant find it. :( |
