Which DAW uses screen space most efficiently?

I just started making heavy use of my new laptop for music work and I'm having a hard time adjusting to not having two 24-in monitors in which to spread out. So, it got me wondering which DAW/host you guys think makes the best use of available screen space? So far, I'm hating Sonar, doing OK with Studio One, and also OK with Pro Tools. I'm thinking that Live or FLS are probably better suited for laptop work???

clarification edit: I'm not really looking for another DAW or asking for suggestions, just asking the question for the sake of discussion.

Live, probably. You can scale it down quite a bit, and also there is a Zoom thing, default is 100%, you can set it to like 75% and get substantially more work room.

Logic is the best on laptops

Live is acceptable on laptops

FL studio has too much going on for a laptop screen. You'll be perpetually flipping through stuff.

Nope, definitely not trolling, but read the OP. I'm not simply asking what the "best DAW" is - I would honestly like to know which DAW you guys think makes the best use of screen space for laptops. It's a very specific and legitimate question, but I'm guessing that most people are only reading the thread title and not the OP itself.

Any reason why the DAW should not be the same as your studio DAW?
Isn't it more easy to switch from laptop to studio with the same project this way?

Why not Cubase?

You can move things around at your leisure.

It can get a bit windowy though unless you're used to the way it works. But then perhaps that's the way Sonar does it already.

I guess I should clarify. I'm not really looking for another DAW, just asking the question for the sake of discussion. I'm so used to working on two large monitors that I hadn't really noticed how bad some hosts (cough, Sonar, cough) are laid out for a small laptop space.

For what is worth Dave, junior is using Live on 13" Mac (sometimes when we are on the road) and he is fine but I don't think you can get any serious work done lol except like throwing some melodic ideas together or working on a soundbank.

Cheers,

Darek
