What kind of server do you actually need for using shoutcast to broadcast a live set?
Does it have to be one of those giant server terminals with a DSL line coming in from outside? Or is it possible to set up your own server on your own comp?
Obviously if I do the latter, I'll have close to zero bandwidth.. but can anyone help?

| You can set it up using your own computer. And for bandwidth..at a 5 - 10 Mbit upstream should be able to handle some users and at a good bitrate without slowing everything down. |

Is Rogers @ Home beefy enough for let's say... streaming at a rate of 96kbps? I would like to do it at 128kbps, but I don't want only 1 listener... hehe
Thanks in advance!

128kbp is abt 7kbps
if u can upload @ 7kbps, then u can stream @ least one person |
