Automation problem in FL (can't grab dots and move)

| As I explained in the title, every time I try to move a dot in any type of automation (volume, pitch, even automation from third party plug-ins) I simply don't see the small hand that appears and I am unable to move them at all. I can draw them in with the pencil tool, but the hand that is able to grab and move the dots is just not showing up. I haven't messed with any settings lately other than my audio settings for my audio interface, so I am at a complete loss. Can anyone help me fix this problem? |

| whenever you right click on the automation bar, it wont draw you another dot? |

| No, so I can left click and draw another dot, but if I try to left click and hold, to try and move the dot around without drawing another, it just draws another dot. Its not my mouse because I can grab other things within FL. This literally just starting happening. Is there maybe a way I can reinstall the program? |

| Maybe it's cause ur in draw mode or something... switch to paint.. |

That's weird, since you need to right click to create a dot. |

Sounds like your automation clip focus is set to Step instead of Slide.
It's on the top left of the playlist, looks like this:
Open the automation tab then check which one is selected. Dunno how it gets changed but it's happened to me before, I think that's how I fixed it. |

| Oh, I know exactly what is wrong. First you need to load a project, load up a 3xOsc and just program some notes in piano roll. save the project IN THE DEFAULT FOLDER as bugifx-3.flp. Then quit FL Studio, open it up again, load the project and OVERWRITE it. All you need to do after that is close FL Studio and open up your control panel. Locate the Add/Remove Programs icon and DOUBLE CLICK it. Then find FL Studio in the list, highlight it then push the button that says something along the lines of remove. let me know if the problem persists after completing these steps! |

Just make sure that in "Automation clips" section you got checked only "slide". Then just use the right click to draw an automation point and left click (appears as a hand when dragged over an automation point) to change it.
