Firefighters responded to a neighbor's report of a fire at a home near North Bend Sunday morning around 8:30 a.m. and reported finding the bodies of two women inside. Initial efforts by firefighters to gain access into the home were allegedly hampered by furniture which had been placed in the entryway. After responders discovered several half filled gas containers inside the home, bomb detection equipment was used by deputies to rule out the potential of further booby traps.
Identifications of the victims has not been released, but reportedly, friends who are familiar with the people who had been living in the home, believe that one of the victims is a young friend of theirs who recently graduated from high school. King County Sheriff’s Office is reportedly looking for Peter A. Keller, 41, a “person of interest” who lived at the home and has not been seen or heard from since the suspicious fire was reported. According to police, a 2003 Toyota Corolla, missing from the residence, was located at the North Bend Library Sunday evening and officials are asking anyone with information regarding the vehicle to please come forward.
