Risers & Falls

Just about to finish of a project and put the risers and falls in. How much attention to detail do you's pay at this point?
For example i was thinking instead of using samples to make my own? The reason for this is because the i thought they would be more in sync/time with the track and that can only be a good thing?
Am i over analyzing things here?
Also what about effects? I've got the bottom end and left them uncompressed and not sidechained for this project. Should i set up a bus with reverb?
Thanks,

1. Just as much attention to detail as any other parts of a track.
2. Sure, why not.
3. No
4. What? |

And since we're dealing in gerunds, wouldn't the correct conjugation of falls be fallers? (i.e. risers rise, hence fallers fall) |

What do your ears tell you? This is a creative decision that we can't make for you, especially since we can't even hear what you're talking about. |

Making your own risers are really fast and you can make it sync up with your track really well. I usually use square waves with delay, reverb, sidechain and maybe a phaser. Also make sure it doesn't conflict with some other mids such as pads or chords and if they are in stereo I would make my risers mono to minimize clutter. |

I was under the impression that the gerund was the -ing, so wouldn't it be falling? |
