I currently use FL Studio, and I'm not really happy with the stock VSTs. What are the best available VSTs for all of the basics out there? When I say basics I mean, EQ, compression, reverb, delay, filters, etc.
Any help is appreciated. The reason I'm looking for freeware is because I'm currently in school and have literally no spare money to spend on equipment.
Thanks!

The only free VST's that I ended up keeping is Synth 1. It is ugly as hell, but find some sample banks around the web, and play around with it. Once you learn it, it is invaluable.
they are sorted by type - from compressors and delays to synthesizers and samplers.
