Whats TAs opinion on the Bedrock duo remixing one of the classic progressive house tracks from the early 90s? Not sure how I feel about this yet as the original is a masterpiece in my opinion.

Anyway, I think Muir & Digweed were a good duo in the past and they definitely made great remixes. This remix of Eterna isn't their best imo.

I like these two the best from them:

Chakra - I Am (Digweed & Muir's Bedrock Mix)
Danny Tenaglia - Turn Me On (John Digweed & Nick Muir's Bedrock Mix)

which reminds me that I've wantlisted that Chakra record for too long, have to get it soon.

off man that track is just terrible

2/10. Kinda obvious trolling.

I like it. I think it's better than pretty much anything Digweed and Muir made in the last few years. I like the reprise too.

I am digging it but still would rather hear the original. That being said, I will most likely purchase this song.

Would be nice to have a remastered version of the original (unless it exists). Sure the original is better but the dated sound mean it will not fit well in a set comprised mostly of newer tracks.

That was by far my biggest disappointment that digweed didnt put this out along with the original remastered. You literally have to play with the damn eq and filters etc for minutes just to get the original vinyl to sound seamless mixed with a modern track. :whip:
Mattsanity.
Eterna is a stone cold classic.

Extremely boring, as most of their output these days is.

I actually really like it. In fact, I'd even say I prefer it to the original. I don't really see how you can dislike it if you like the original, to be honest: it has all the same ingredients but with punchier production and a more focused structure. You can't even say it's pointless, because Eterna has not aged particularly well. This may not rank up there with the finest Digweed and Muir update remixes (Intoxication, Cowgirl and 3.2 in particular) but it continues their tradition of bringing progressive house classics tastefully up to date.

Have you heard their Dream Dub of the same track? Much rarer but, in my opinion, even better:

Chimney
It's good, not some of their best work though.
