Another new festival this summer (July 13-15), looks like it'll be a little more of interest to you guys than the big ones. Smaller, multi-venue, more techno & house oriented.

nice, this is a pleasant surprise. :)
Sammy Dee & Arthur Oskan are the standouts for me. Hopefully a few more names get addded.
Also, I'm really digging how they're having a few conference/discussion type events, and a short film (which I'm hoping is musically related...) showcase. |

| Offering a distinct alternative to the mainstream, the inaugural edition of the Sound in Motion festival touches down on Toronto at various indoor and outdoor locations this July 13-15, including a full day open air main stage music showcase. Sound in Motion is a new, not for profit, independent festival dedicated to electronic music, film and new technologies. Presented by Toronto-based artists’ collective, StudioFeed, Sound In Motion will present a number of highly-touted local and regional acts performing alongside musicians from across the country and around the world, including Sammy Dee, Dualism, Demas, Billy Dalessandro, Pheek, Konque, Frivolous and more. Early bird tickets go on sale May 1. For details, go to www.simtoronto.org. |

| Lineup looks all right actually - seen quite a few of them before and have really enjoyed their sets. Think this is the first festival announced this summer in Toronto that I'll be looking forward to. |

Yep! short film showcase submissions are going to be focused on interpretations of "Sound In Motion". We are encouraging all forms of visual presentation, so it could be animations, personal narratives, films.... should definitely be interesting.

I think this will be the best festival of them all! Toronto needs this artist infused music fest. The of the festivals are going to be watered down nonsense.
