You sound like those people Chris Rock mocks for being proud of things they're supposed to do. Note the difference between A top priority and THE top priority. It doesn't automatically make you a waster to say music is one of the most important things in your life, you jumped up white collar wanker.
Matt compared music to being a priority such as Jesus is to a Christian, which is practically the topic of this entire thread. There are plenty of people out there that see Jesus as their personal savior, whose importance is equal to that of their family, health, etc. Perhaps I drew the comparison too literally, but Matt asked me directly if music "elevates everything I do in life", and it does not. There are times where I go weeks at a time without listening to music, at least voluntarily. So why would I say it's even "a" top priority? It's a ing hobby, and I made that very clear.
Chris Rock should make fun of you for being such a tight-ass.

I don't give a about your priorities. I think you're a clown for suggesting everyone should share your little world view, or else there's something wrong with them.

system j criticizing someone else for wanting everyone to share their "correct" view?

I never said anyone should share my viewpoint that music is a hobby. Not even once. What I said is that anyone who makes music a priority over the obvious "family, health, etc" should re-evaluate themselves, which is true. ing Christ, Jack, do you like to argue about everything? I stated my opinion and it clearly rustled your jimmies.

That's it. And i think i'm the first one to answer with a clear YES, it completes my life. I simply cannot see myself anymore without Electronic music.
That doesn't mean my family and my professional career are less important, but i can honestly say i'm putting more passion to my hobby than everything else.
And thanks to all of you Trance Addicters to show me the way EDM should be :)

It's ing stupid, for at least three reasons.
1. Matt never said or implied prioritising it over the "obvious", hence the distinction between A and THE, a distinction you're apparently you're too ing stupid to grasp. Again, why immediately leap to the assumption that being passionate about music must mean you neglect the rest of your life? You can barely be more keen to boast about how well adjusted you are. Nobody gives a .
2. People can, frankly, do whatever they want with their lives. Some people don't or can't have careers, or families, or any control over their health. Some people don't want these things. Your little list of Important Things In Life does not coincide with everyone else.
3. What the do you even mean, anyway? How exactly do you prioritise music over your family? What weird scenario do you concoct where you have to pick between the well being of your family or listening to music? My family live hours away from me, I go months without seeing or talking to them, they are self-sufficient and don't need me and neither do I need them for most of the time. In terms of time and money invested, music is way ahead of family or health for me, I think about it way more often, it's a much bigger part of my day-to-day life, the friends I've made, my general happiness. And yet it's not like I'm in poor health or have a ruinous family life. I'd say that if you need to consciously "prioritise" your family or health over your hobbies, there must be something wrong with them in the first place.

Yeah, Jack, I'm a complete ing moron for responding to a comment that was trying to draw comparisons to Music and Jesus Christ in terms of priorities in life.
I've never seen such a ridiculous argument from you. Normally you have relatively decent points, but your argument holds no water here. I made a single statement that said I find music to be a hobby, and I do not prioritize it over the obvious things in life, and you took that as some sort of ing attack on people who are passionate about music.
I have nothing more to say to you. If you honestly want to sit here and waste your time finding things to argue about on the internet with a "white collar wanker" (which makes me laugh btw, I grew up in the ing country) then be my guest. Your efforts in making me seem like such an ass have projected all over yourself.

That's a pretty non-nonsensical topic in the first place. What it basically asks or at least in my opinion is.
Would I choose between my sibling's life and the ability to listen to records? Would I sell my sibling for a 100,000 record collection of my favorite music? Would I worship Music over my chosen faith? No you ing prick I wouldn't, I won't sell my kidney for a one of a kind Todd Edwards unreleased track either.
Music is a very big part of my life but why the should I over value it "Above" any of the values you mentioned, can't it just accompany my daily life? Or it might be my profession? What a useless ing topic. lol.

No you didn't.
And it's not like you've ever got offended by posts on TA and spent pages arguing, is it? Never happened when someone joked about you trainwrecking on Traktor, or Jay taking the piss out of your ex-girlfriend, right? Oh wait.
