with ripoff prices of today's venue.. i wonder how much greater it will be 2006- 2016 :( |
dont be fooled, i still have old school sound factory flyers and other club flyers
admission back then was $25-$40, and what was just on a regular club night. no free or reduced before midnight like pacha does now, and this was the day before having big international talent
twilo was prob the big club that started booking all the big guys
anyone know the price range of what they were chargeing?
some things were a steal tho, i remember seeing armin for 25 bucks |

I think a lot of you guys are really low-balling your estimates. I'd guess mine is $50-75k since 2004. The includes 3 DEMFs (everything but drinks/food already paid for this year's), 1 WMC, and a whole lot of regular nights out. There was a time when I was going out 3x a week. You figure $100, once a week and you're at $5,200 each year. |
WMC every year since 2007, plus a trip to Ibiza last year. Used to go out every weekend to support the scene. Travelled via car all over Texas to parties in Houston, Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio almost every weekend. Had almost 76,xxx miles on my 2008 Si when I totalled it in 2010. Forgot how many miles I had on my prior car from all the road trips since 2001. I don't want to know how much I spent as it will make me sad but I know it's A LOT! But, it was all worth it living a life most will never know about. For a good while was always guestlisted so that covered the cost of admission. Met so many cool and down to earth djs and have crazy stories from the afterparties with them that I can't even mention on here as I know some of them post/lurk on this board. It's been a fun 12 years of doing this. |

Gas + parking + alcohol + party favors + hotel + air fare + tickets
Ya...it's going to add up. 5 WMCs is easily $6k-$7.5k just themselves. Let's say probably another $200 a month for 10 years just for going to 3-4 parties a month...?
I ono, I hope to god I'm overestimating, but holy , I might be close to $30,000? That scares me. Why did you make this thread!? Ignorance was bliss! |

yes.. for me and you sure. But new kids that just getting into the scene nowadays are dropping minimum $60-100 just to see one headliner for at least 4 yrs .
then we have more festivals now at 200 minumus just entrance. i mean at my time i only knew of ultra. Now there are way more |

turned 16 in 2000...
been going out since...
so lets just say $100 a weekend x 52 weeks x 11 years...
thats $57200 for 11 years... thats not including 11 DEMFs, 1 Ultra, and multiple trips to Chicago and Toronto... |

| I once tried to add this up and it's definitely over $60,000. That's since 1999. I'm posting in bold and not using the K symbol for more visual impact :-) |

tom since 99 lol
6 straight years of wmc, 5 trips to amsterdam, partied in chicago, toronto, montreal, dc, philly, la, cancun, london, rome, ibiza, barcelona, and an original twilolite
twilo cover varied, on a s&d night it was about $30 door, pvd was $40 sometimes $50 depends on how late, flip side to this was $15 off nights with carl cox, seb fontaine, plastikman. Tiesto debut at limelight was $40 but also caught jeff mills on a thursday night at limelight for $20.
its been a long road, it's still going |

| a lifetime of memories is priceless. If you look at it this way "I could have saved up for when I'm older"- wtf are you gonna do when you're 60-70...you can't do half of the you do now cause you're limited by your age/physical inability.....and you can't take money to the grave either. So it. |
