Made Event is proud to announce DJ Mag Top 10 artist Dash Berlin at Governors Beach Club on Governors Island, NYC, Saturday, June 30, 2012.

Dash Berlin is the creator of the “Dash Berlin Sound” -- an ambitious and unprecedented new sound of trance that is futuristic and scintillating, moving and emotive. It caught the ear of none other than Armin van Buuren in 2007, who featured Dash Berlin’s debut track “Till The Sky Falls down” on his legendary ‘Universal Religion’ album. In 2009, Dash Berlin released his critically acclaimed debut album, ‘The New Daylight,’ which features instant classics such as "Till The Sky Falls Down," "Man On The Run," "Waiting" and "Never Cry Again." And last month saw the release of his second artist album, ‘#musicislife,’ featuring “Better Half of Me” (feat. Jonathan Mendelsohn), which earned a 2012 International Dance Music Award nomination for Best Trance Track. From the hottest nightclubs to the biggest festivals, this ‘Flying Dutchman’ connects with his audiences in a magical way that has spawned a worldwide following and earned him the #8 spot in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs poll. Now he comes to Governors Island to keep revelers dancing all day in the summer sun. After all, the message of Dash Berlin is simple: "It's all about having a good time again," he says. "The art of celebrating life resonates inside of everyone."

The 18+ event will take place from 4 p.m. to midnight at Governors Beach Club, which encompasses a 4-story tent with open walls, an open air beach, VIP areas, a state of the art sound and light system, over 100 feet of bar space, and spectacular views of New York City.

Tickets are available at www.madeevent.com. Round-trip ferry transport included.

The venue is pretty awesome :)

no doubt about ultra cheese. I listened to 2 of dash berlin's recent sets since I never heard his sets or saw him live. I want to go to this event but going for one hour of tritonal isn't worth it to me.

I'll admit I like some cheesy songs here and there like armin's not giving up on love etc. but dash berlin tops the cake, I've never heard such a compilation of cheese ever played before. he played one song in his sets that made me just plain embarrassed--some song called dj ease my apollo mashup. that song sounds like some 5 yr old girl picked it for her birthday party, but dash berlin dropped that with pride like 'yeah man, this banger will knock em dead'. I give props to all the trance dj's out there today, honestly, but I don't think I'd be able to salvage anything from this dude's live set. it's like he gathers every cheesy vocal track he can find to play lol.

Just got the word that I'll be opening things up for this one. :) Never been to the venue. But from the pics and vids I've seen, it looks badass. Here's one from last week's event with Benny Benassi & Hardwell...

this is my favorite venue in the city. epic views of our skyline, outdoors, and just the right size.

also - correct me if im wrong: isn't dash berlin two producers that don't tour and the guy we see in the pics the DJ? or something of that sort?

I went to this venue a few times already, for pvd last year, and caught armin there a couple of years back. the venue is pretty much a water taxi beach, if you're familiar with the old one in lic, queens (god, I miss that venue!). good spot, and whether it rains or it's sunny, it's a good time.

getting there though seems to be another issue. I read a review of the benny benassi show at gov's island last wknd and it seems a lot of pple waited 1.5 hrs just to get the ferry there to the show. that's insane since it's like a 10-15 min boat trip. I hope they get their act together by the time this event comes around. also, the governor's island ferry rides are advertised as free all over the place but apparently they're not. they're included with the made tix though.

Holy carp, I thought you were joking. I never would've known this if you hadn't said that:

Dash Berlin (born 8 November 1979) is a Dutch progressive-trance[1] project created in 2007 in The Hague by Jeffrey Sutorius, Eelke Kalberg and Sebastiaan Molijn[2]. The front man of the group is the DJ Jeffrey Sutorius a.k.a Dash Berlin [3].

boom! there you have it. so not only is the "dash berlin" frontman on the pics a super cheesy DJ, but he's not even completely behind the few amazing tracks dash berlin has put out (till the sky falls down, etc). LOLzzz
