Sorry to bust your bubble but did you just say you knew about the listener mixes before me...LOL...
I was the one that introduced the listener mix to Jimmy Z and Tom Brown....
They would have never put the listener mix program if i they didn't listen to the mix....They listened to it and they wanted to put it on ASAP...
I know ,no is trying to compete as you can friggin see...i was trying to point out what i thought of the tracklistin...It's good...but then again they don't do it for me.

Now Dj Balistic, thats a very good tracklisting, why don't YOU send it in...
Send it before such songs like Carrera 2 starts showing on the show.
OH yeh and remember Jace, the mix has to be 1 Hour to be on Nova...so shorten each track if possible. |

Grrrr ... when am I ever going to save up enough money for TTs. There was an American staying at college last semester who had TTs (Vestax), so I learnt how to use them and trust me, after five minutes on TTs, you'll never turn back. It's just so much easier to mix with them. Cueing's a little harder naturally, but beatmatching just seems to come together so easily, which means that you can concentrate on other stuff like nice EQ mixes etc. |

I just did my first gig last night!
It was at a school sleep out thing. Seeying as most of the people there were into breaks, hip hop, house and even metal i couldn't really play any beautiful trance or any slower style. I had to play more floorfillers but it was still SICK!
This is what I played
1.Blank & Jones - DFF (Cosmic Gate Remix)
2.Ferry Corsten - Punk (Original Mix)
3.Trisco - Ultra (Dub Version)
4.Art of Trance - Madagascar (Ferry Corsten Remix)
5.Veracocha - Carte Blanche
6.Barthezz - On The Move (Dumonde Remix)
7.Altitude - Altitude (SHOKK Remix)
8.Barthezz - Infected (Marki's Basstoy Remix)
9.Timo Maas - Ubik (The Breakz)
Then another DJ moved into house. That's why I played Ubik last.
I mixed really well. Wel enough for one of my TA friends to say to me after. "There's no difference between your mixing and the pro's".
I dunno about that but i didn't screw up one mix which was awsome!
I was also talking to some girls after that like Punk and Ska and they said that I had converted them to dance and trance! I was like YYYEEEEEEEHHHHHAAAAAAAAA!
Anyway the house DJ's mixing was sooooooo bad! No beatmixing just fading at the end of tracks. Was so annoying when the music stops.
One tip for all you who see trance DJs. Never ask them to play hip hop or anyrthing! There was this one wankerwho kept asking me to play Run DMC vs Jason Nevins - It's like that. I told him I only had it on CD therefore I couldn't mix it in! I was playing trance and it doesn't ing fit with trance and I'd rather play trance! In the end I got too pissed off and tols him where to stick Run DMC.
That was my first gig.

Hey, well done Trancey Ash on your first gig! Nice tracklisting. When you do live sets, you should borrow a mate's MD player and record it. That's what I do. It really allows you to analyse your mixes fully.
BTW, what media did you use, CDs or vinyl? |

I'm addicted to it now! I love it! But I also want to get a cd deck in my other channel so i can play those rare songs that just rock.
