I realize that we have a separate thread dedicated to documentaries but I believe this program deserves its own mention here. This is, in my opinion, a remarkable one hour documentary (by the BBC) on the connection between human beings and dogs. It explores topics such as:
-what are the origins of dogs?
-what drove their domestication? what allowed them to become so tame? can this quality be selectively bred in other species?
-what is the nature of the communicative relationship between our species and theirs?
It's a phenomenal watch. I highly recommend it. Enjoy!

Watched it a couple weeks ago but I liked national geo's science of dogs from a few years ago better.

Just watched it. Thanks! Now I want a fox for a pet (well after my dog, um, bites the dust).
