How much of this is actually true? Saying someone-invented-something tends to be quite tricky, as few inventions come from a vacuum. Still, you can easily find pages that do say Tesla invented all these things, but I wonder if there isn't more to that.
These reservations notwithstanding, this is a Nikola Tesla appreciation thread! Just so you know, him being Serbian is the reason why Fledz is so abrasive. Tesla was awesome like that! And he's the one person who makes me swear deliberately thanks to his awesomeness. Tesla is awesome like that!

Because of that comic I decided to buy two books about him and d/l the 1980 movie made about him.
I liked that theoatmeal actually cited his sources, as opposed to the cracked article, which while truly kickass, isn't really convincing.
The best cracked article is 5 Real Life soldiers who make Rambo look like a . however. Simo Hayha ftw.
I enjoyed David Bowie's role as Tesla in The Prestige as well, stren.

Tesla predicted that one hundread years from now(then), the world will be lit by artificial lights at night, the cities will grow, and there will be traffic jams and a lack of parking spaces in cities. He said that in the early 1900's I believe.

Tesla was a ing god among men. He's pretty much the inventor of wireless, he made the first remote control.

| Tesla's work fascinates me. I remember reading somewhere that he said most of his ideas were explained to him in dreams. There also seems to be a degree of mystery and conspiracy surrounding some of his lesser-known projects. |
