Artist Names

Something i've noticed not a few people do, even if you never make it , assume you will and start using a pseudonym. So you can have your artist name, which make be different for each project, then you have your actual name but you don't ever actually use your real name. Use your first name and say your middle name. Because if you ever like did something stupid and someone has some record of it, for example, although I don't have a criminal record, i had to go to court, now if I was famous, which i'm not, people would find out. But if you use another name, you will only have to worry about it when you are really famous and [people actually but effort into finding who you are.

So ya, don't use your real name. Contacts should have it, but make them sign a NDF.

Anonymity when you want it is priceless. And if you ever do something really ing retarded, like you are so coked out , you pull your dick out and the music suddenly stops and you realize it is smaller than usual .... your life isn't over, because Keizer Soze is a phantom.

Just some advice. I use my middle name.

Isn't exposure everything? As long as you apologize with your best Paris Hilton "Naughty Girl" face everything will be a-okay...

My first, middle, and last names can all be used as first names, my middle name is also a common last name, and every combination is either already used by a well-known person, or sounds like a country/western singer. :nervous:
Mel David
You are EDM artist not teen idols. Nobody ever mobbed Moby in the streets.
Deillon
Or, don't be a retard and therefore don't low yourself to do coke.

how old are you ? Getting ahead in the music industry is a combination of content and being liked. In the words of Wayne Brady, if you do not ______ this, we have a problem. And the people that all wear nice clothes than you, hotter girls than you , drive cars you dream of owning and also happen to be door keepers, well when they break out charlie, you might as well be mormon if you don't collude. You also might as well not be in the business. You work with any band , you don't do what they do , which includes 99% of the time some drug of some kind, refraining is like that annoying jewish guy that says beer gives him gas. Would you want to work with someone like that ?

And cocaine is inert as long as you aren't completely lacking in self control. Alcohol is much more destructive. Of course same rule apples, you do less than everyone else as it is just a formality but anyone in the industry that says, just dont do coke, doesn't seem to get the bedside manner required to not be a negative nancy.

Here , i'm at a meeting with a certain producer, 5 course meal. apperatif, wine/ digestif then cubans and a line of cocaine before the digestif, and after the cigar. The guy was in his 50s married with kids , had his own chauffeur, and looks looks like the kind of guy that would run a bank but a gay bank because his suite is tailor made and would run 2k every day. Now when you are there for business, and the guy says, ok , time for a line, unless someone else of more import doesn't, you do the line.

So ya, as much as i like your advice on drugs ....

well i couldn't post the other guys. This is medium pimp i suppose on my spectrum. You can't look too square if you are an artist but you can't look like an artist if you want to be taken seriously. I try not to be photographed at all costs but some pop up. The point is that people that don't look like drug users do drugs. And in the music industry, not partaking is like a narc saying , naw man, i've had so much meth today, but i will make this deal anyways,

LoveHate
thought the days of living lavish, and having expansive coke habits were over in the music industry, seeing as how nobody sells any more. :wtf:
Looney4Clooney
well i think the crack down and war on drugs make it something only the rich have access to. And since the income disparity is growing, well i think most people just are not aware how prevalent it is. Although this is NY.
