Fruit Loops question

I recorded an FX on 1 pattern for about 8 bars to go with a melody. How do you remove or delete that pattern so I can record a new one?

I tried:
1. To right click the pattern on the playlist and only the 'edit pattern name' box appears.
2. Opened up the 'Step Sequencer' for that pattern and it is blank which includes the FX only.

Thank you if you can help me or is there Fruit Loops help thread out there I should of used:conf:

Another good question. Did I go about recording the FX the right way?

I hit that record button at the top. Then I hit the play button for the entire song and start to manual change the FX to my desired sound and then hit stop. If I like it I re-use it and if I hate it I can't figure out how to remove it and make a new one instead of making a 1000 different patterns until I get the right one which is a watse of space!

update: I changed the FX to none and it condended the pattern to one box and removed the FX pattern of 8 bars I created!!

This might be a solution to my problem but I am not sure its the best? Can you still keep that FX and just remove what I did without changing the mixer FX to 'none' in that spot? I don't want to have to go back and forth because I don't like something and just want to delete it unless that is the only route!

I think it would be easier if you used Edison to record....that way you could just record till you get it right, then go back and cut out what you need.drag the sample to the playlist, creating a audio channel for you ...then all you have to do is highlight the entire sample in edison and delete it ....its ready for your next sample.
