Subliminals. Criminals. Phoney businessmen in thick rimmed glasses. Bad comedians. Laughing bags aping the Hallelujah chorus - the forgotten version - out of key (slightly). Just enough to annoy you.
A cheesecake nun advertising 20 brands of sea cow lemon in 60 different languages. A gargoyle handjives for the hard of hearing.

Surely there are some Christians out there who realize just how undeniably idolatrous Christianity is. Maybe I'm giving you guys too much credit though...

Last time I checked, "all of society" doesn't have a rule against idolatry, but Christianity does, making Christians hypocrites.

Like any notable super-villain, my background is one of extremes. Except for my parents, a large portion of my family aren't exactly Christian fundamentalists, but they're certainly not too far off. These people literally have refused to take their kids to see movies like Harry Potter, because "witchcraft is evil". Every 5th word out of their mouths is "Amen" or something similar. The ignorance behind a lot of their beliefs & customs drives me insane!:eyespop:
My dad has a master's degree in theology and took up a casual interest in the study of all religions, from when I was young. So, growing up, I spent time meditating in Buddhist & Hindu temples, praying in Mosques, attending services in Synagogues, Christian churches etc...
Sharing an interest in the study of world religions and philosophies, I took up a concentration in Jewish Studies, in college. Naturally, this means I've had the opportunity to study the "Old Testament" of the Bible in Hebrew, and delve into not only the multitude of possible translations to English, but both cultural and historical contexts as well. I honestly don't understand how anyone could call themselves a true Christian, without having first studied the Torah, and Jewish religion in-depth :conf: :conf: :conf: . I've almost literally ripped the scriptures apart, dissected them, and have written scores of pages of essays, sometimes on single verses. I love delving into beauty inherent in these kinds of works, but also find it as important to think critically when presented with such fables. I enjoy analyzing the Bible from an esoteric standpoint much more than just being lazy and accepting everything written at face value, so-to-speak.
My younger brother recently converted, after meeting a "good Christian girl", and personally I have much more of a problem with the fact that he has nothing to say when I ask him (or other Christians, for that matter) about the contexts in which the Apocalyptic writings came about, or of the origins of stories included within the Bible which pre-date the Bible, or about anything beyond exactly what is written in the King James edition, rather than the fact that he's Christian. He's completely ignorant of important aspects of his own religion, as I find to be the case with many of his kind. This is the most vexing thing ever, especially since he was raised without such indoctrination. It particularly grinds my gears since he was once my most fun brother to be around. Now his gf tells him it's even sinful to do normal stuff, like dance, or listen to non-Christian music. It's as if I lost a family member. He's suffered a fate worse than death.
So yeah, that's pretty much what grinds my gears about Xtianity.

Who is this guy god anyways? I never met him in school, and never seen even a second long YouTube video of him.

I think the word literally means "Governor"

how can you claim to have a superior mind when you spend 20 minutes reading what took me 28 seconds to read and digest?

My sister is in town and she is a doctor, and i showed her some text and she kinda chuckled because she often would get people still high saying this kind of rubbish in the emergency ward. She seems concerned that you might be a little unstable and perhaps someone that most likely has a predisposition to say schizophrenia, and perhaps you are already manifesting symptoms as you really are out there, shouldn't be touching drugs.
