Hey guys,
I started working on a new track last night, and I've got a pretty good start on the main section. I thought I'd share a short preview of it before I get too far into the track to get your feedback. I was going for that W&W or MaRLo kind of sound. Here's the SoundCloud player:
Right now I'm still trying to balance out some of the sounds in the mix (some of the distortion on the synths is conflicting with some of the FX and the white noise sweeps). You'll probably hear a little bit of mess in the upper end when you listen...I'm still trying to work through some of those frequency issues.
Let me know what you think!!!

Hey guys,
I've made a couple of minor updates (see SoundCloud player in first post for latest version). I edited the side-chained reverb sounds a bit to make them more prominent where necessary, and I did some minor EQ adjustments to try and fix some of my high-end. There's still more work to do, but it's a start!
THOUGHTS? |

| Really good track, no crits really. Like the stacatto timing on the main synth licks. |

| If anything, I would like to hear the filtered percussion more like slamming snares than dark filtered snare/tom thingie (makes it a bit muffled) and a big fat 909 type OHH on top every once and while tsssjjj, tsssjjj, tsssjjj, tsssjjj, |

Hey Raphie,
Thanks for the feedback! Percussion is definitely something I'd like to look at for this one, and I think you've pointed out a good place to start. I agree that the dark bass-y percussion that I've currently got sound a bit muffled...I'll try some other ideas for some driving percussion to put a bit more energy in the track.
I'm really striving for something massive with this one, so I'll look at adding in that OHH like you suggested...it just might do the trick. THANKS!!!

Thanks bunches! When I played it on my keyboard at first it was just three 1/8th notes seperated by a 1/16th. While that sounded ok, I thought adding in the staccato rhythm helped give it a bit more drive.
THANKS!!! |

| all the production elements are really cool, the low-end groove, percussion stabs, synth sounds. The only thing about it is that the melody isn't very memorable imo |

| That bit crushed square lead doesn't fit where it is. |
