track rights

hey everyone a little question!

i made a track which will be released soon (havent signed the contract yet) but i was wondering how does it work with the rights of my track? should i get it registered somewhere? (i live in holland maybe something usefull for the info) hope someone could help me out!

If the label is Dutch too you could benefit from registering with BUMA/STEMRA. Otherwise it's most likely not worth the hassle since foreign rights money hardle ever get to the right artists due to the incompetence of that same organisation.

If electronic release, common practise is you hand over the rights and they exploit you. If you make more from your release than you have to spend on BUMA we will know you from the Top40.....

yeah quite some it doesnt have a site but it releases on beatport and it got quite some good releases so i think it will be okay! (label name is direct drive digital)
