i wouldn't say its a typical trance w/ guitar song... |

| After a while that delay becomes a bit much in the mix, would be nice to hear the wet be automated downward a little. It's cool, but why the drums? If you're going to do that, you should probably have a bassline that goes with it, because the one you're using that you had with the guitars just kind of drags and hasn't got a lot of presence. Works fine with the guitar though. Overall pretty good stuff. Not sure how I feel about the percussion though once you introduce the drums. It sounds a little rushed and loopy. Not sure if that's what you're going, but modern dance music has been using really tight drum hits, can't speak for trance though because I simply do not listen to it. |

Dude, you got some major talent. Don't get tempted to overdo reverb or delay as Evolve already pointed out. It is tempting because it sounds cool at first but production is constantly about restraint and subtlety.
Bad choice of drums also as Evolve pointed out, especially the clap and hihat. I think the kick is OK though.
Overall, fantastic work on the guitar. I really like where it goes from i believe G sharp to F. It is the catchiest part of the song. Maybe you could pull all the other parts out for a split second when it does that progression, once as a catchy trick (might not work just an idea). I'll definitely be looking out for where you go from here because you have the potential. |
