the digital sound effect usually accompanied by text in movies ?

This one is obviously from a sample library. It really is just slow amplitude modulation via square wave, eqing , maybe some ring modulation to make it less tonal and FM to give it a more digital sound.

ahh rite, great stuff...can you reccommend any good latest sample packs?

Thanks for your help

i've never understood this new generation of producers what seems like a lack of curiosity. i mean when i hear something i don't get, for example, when i first heard that new dub step stuff and like noisia and all those sort of sounds that now there are hundreds of banks , well at the time, i mean not that it would even matter , because the journey is part of the experience but just sitting down, listening, over and over and over, then trying , trying again.

And if you need help, post what you have so far. Give some sort of indication that you have put in the effort. I could tell you what sample cd to get for these types of post production sounds , but i won't because honestly, as an EDM producer, you should be able to make this.

But like you aren't asking for help, you are asking for the answer. And it is ing discouraging. Teachers should learn from their students, or at least when i was a TA, i did but this sort of one way discourse is really lame.

I'm a dick because you are lazy. I will go over what one would expect to help someone that really has put the effort in. I will go out of my way not to help someone that just wants answers.

Your question was , how do i do this. Then you ask for the library because i mentioned the way the sound is used, you can tell it is from a library. So instead of trying out my advice, you go right for the easy answer. And that is what ing annoys me. This lack of curiosity, effort, love of music/composition/production/synthesis that would make one want to know.

Had you just said, i'm working on a project, i need that sort of sound you hear in thriller movies where there is digital text and that sound that goes with it, could you guide me in the right diection. No problem. But what you did, was ask how is it done, then do it for me. And that is really why i treat alot of people the way I do.

Yup

I've watched countless Youtube vids on dubstep (for example) and even made and binned a few practise tracks even though I'll probably never make a dubstep track.

Just because it was new, I liked some of what I heard and didn't know how to do it.

I'm kinda buoyed that there's this army of producers wanting everything spoon fed and delivered to em in a sample pack. Hopefuly it may mean they all sound the same.

We need to start finding more soul again. Everything sounds like a computer programme made it.
