Because there is actually an audience that really likes that funky beat. Of course those views and comments could be bought.

because EDM is so inaccessible mostly due to Beatport aiming only for djs that people's only way to search for music which they don't really know how to call it except electro house as that is the buzz word these days is youtube and it ends up with results like this. i'm sure if you search deadmau5, guetta and any other name people would know if you were not really into EDM, would be astronomical. IF anything it just shows huge market with nobody filling the demand.

I find the vast supply of tracks from every direction makes me shut down and go for a nice walk. Mentally I find it overwhelming where to start so I don't really search much, just stumble accross good tracks now and then.
Whats the most original track for you right now, something right up to date? Anything.

Adam420 and a couple of others have unearthed some gems in the thread, above. I raided it a while back and am happy with a lot of what I found. Some of the stuff I downloaded was so poorly mixed that it really detracted from otherwise decent productions but, by-and-large, a nice selection of tunes worth looking at.
SYSTEM-J also created this thread on finding music - but it still takes doing and I haven't really followed its advice remotely close to the amount I preach it.

Actually, electro house is really big with kids right now, in the US at least.

Went on to Beatport for the first time in about a month and me is it annoying as a sales platform.
For a start, it's buggy as , then there's a the problem searching - for one artist you now get multiple suggestions as it also shows collabs/mixes as separate artists etc. If you're on a laptop you get this giant filter box each time you search which you have to scroll below to see the tracks. Oh and I hate the fact that old tracks which get re-released are listed as most recent and there's all you can do to filter them in true chronology.
