Currently i have a A&H mixer, two Denon DNS-3700 and two Tehnics 1210mk2's. I play either 12's or through the usb-sticks but i find it hard to put anything on the usb-sticks and still manage my music catalouge throught the cd-players cause you can't see through their small displays.
I am thinking going through a computer of some sort but i don't know how and what i am going to use. Any thoughts about it and advice in this matter!
Thanks! |

1. Sell the Denons ASAP before they depreciate any more in value
2. Buy a computer. Go for mac only if you are totally computer illiterate, otherwise you'll get so much more bang for your buck with PC.
3. Buy Traktor Scratch and one of their audio interfaces.
4. Hook everything up and play mp3's with your turntables.
5. ???
6. Profit |

Haha you gotta be kidding me! I bought the Denons very cheap so i won't sell them. They look great with my Technics and their quality surpasses even the Pioneers.
But yes i was thinking buying either the Serato or Traktor but i doubt which one are the best though. |

I'll try be more helpful instead of just posting the above..
What kind of dj'ing do you want to do digitally?
Do you still want to use the cd players? Or are you only going to use the cd players because you have them?
Convenience is another factor. Do you want to have to hook up a computer every time you want to play. Maybe after using the computer and shelling out all that money you'll prefer to just rock up to your decks and plug that usb stick into your cdjs. Purely because it's quicker and even though it's less organised you won't care as you just want to mix some tunes and then switch everything off and continue on with whatever you were doing.
Do you want to use vinyl timecode?
Would you consider getting an X1 or an F1 now and using just controllers to dj.
What kind of music do you dj, does it lend itself to dropping samples etc or is it more along the lines of lengthy transitional stuff (minimal, house.. whatever)
Just a few questions to see what might suit you better.
