18 years old started producing this year. I'm quite the soundquality critic but i don't care that this sounds like straight ableton, the track is great.

he's miles ahead of everybody for his age, give him a few years and he's gonna blow the up.

my first records weren't nearly as good as this idea-wise.

obviously disregard billboard and all the guys killing the pop charts.

it isn't bad but there is nothing there that would indicate someone that is ahead in anything. Nothing novel, nothing current, so although i think he/she should continue, i honestly don't see what the fuss is about. Sound design non existent. Mix is awful, form is not there. Not to mention how easy it has become with all the tools and presets and loops ready to use. This sounds like every kid that just started producing. Go to the promotion section. Everyone there tends to be 1 - 2 years in. It shows the average learning curve to understand how to use these tools, but not really anything that would reveal something aesthetically impressive regardless of genre.

Wouldn't normally want to ruin a party but you posted it in the wrong section and it is rather average. And most kids are starting producing when people used to start playing guitar., That is how you have guys like Madeon who are 16 and produce better than most 30 year olds. Anyways, just a reality check i suppose. Never healthy for the creative mind to think you are awesome.

and how you find it sounds like ableton is rather strange. You don't actually believe that different DAWs have an actual discernible quality ? i mean the null tests are there. This was put to rest years ago.

Hey man, great read!

You seem very knowledgeable about every step in the production process. I'm still fairly new to this and to be honest I have no idea what I'm doing. Could you share some of your music, I bet we could learn a thing or two from you.

Thanks,

M

You could but that would require time on my part and we both know you aren't being sincere. This also hardly seems the place for that. There is a production forum. They do talk about music related things as well.
