RPG HEAT (High Explosive Anti-Tank) round hit the side of the tank, looks like next to the back road wheels. The warhead detonated, which being a shaped charge, forms a jet of molten copper traveling at thousands of meters per second. The T-72 has a main gun autoloader, and for ease of access it has a carousel under the floor of the crew compartment that contains both the round and the powder, as you can see in the image below.
The molten jet of copper pierced one or more of the powder bags and ignited it, bursting the floor of the crew compartment, and jetting out of the commanders hatch. That is the big flame coming straight up. The burning powder eventually heats up the remaining powder bags and those all detonate, causing a catastrophic structural failure that blew off the entire T-72s turret, totally destroying it (normally the turret just pops off and lands a few dozen meters away, as seen in the video below).
