I am listening on cheap speakers right now but still I think it is kind of boring and repetitive. I feel like the song doesn't really have a point. It doesn't have the driven drums typical of songs Carl Cox plays.
I think I see some progress though. |

| Hats are a bit shrill. Could easily choose a better kick, its high end sounds weird to me. Is that synth that comes in compressed at all? Sounds like it may need some. Where's the bass? The other percs? The silence at the end of the measure gets kinda tired, Overall lots of highs, high mids, but no mid or bass. Kinda of loopy with no groove. |

Listen man, though I sort of can hear what you hear in your head, trust me, the track is far from it. Serious question: Do you smoke weed when u produce? Because i can imagine you being there "in the zone" doing your thing, all sounding, but the next morning when sober, above is what you got.
Either your monitoring or your ears are ed. I like your attitude, I like your commitment and determination. But please start to be a bit more critical towards yourself, as I see great ideas (I actually believe that you have taste and ideas of your own) going down the drain because of execution. Please learn how to mix |

okay see the problem I have is this.. I produce in my friggin headphones.. so what you hear is what I hear in my cans.. and I know that's bad.. its not the right way to do it.. but I'm not somewhere right now where I can jam out the way I'd like.. so.. if you wanna hear what I'm listening to, plug in a pair of Pioneer HDJ-1000's because that's exactly how I hear it..
