haha i remember standing in the crowd at edc for the first half of his set and being like what the is going on... i think he was just about to unleash the fire in the second half of his set when he got cut off

Yeah, I heard some pretty weak tracks as well. Was thinking that he probably needed to stay low key with Armin coming up later (we thought, anyway), but one could be low key and still play better quality tracks. ;)

Markus has always been a bit disappointing for me in the festival settings. He still reigns in the club for me though.

Agreed, I enjoy his club sets a lot more than his festival sets.

ive seen him 2x for his extended sets, and usually after the 4hr mark he gets boring to me.

The overall feeling at EDC was that Markus was killing it. Just you tranceheads are stuck in 2005. Definately the highlight of Saturday!

He was killing it, just not the same way he kills it at clubs. :p

Yes and no. I still think he's the best 'trance dj' by far out there. But some of the stuff hrs been playing , although I don't particularly dislike , just isn't something I'd expect him to play. IE in my mind troll, Nicky Romero , gotye remix , tiesto we own the night.

Etc. I do understand the EDM pop has forced Djs to become more mainstream and end of day these DJs need to somewhat appeal to the masses so.

What's wrong with being stuck in 2005? Although I am personally stuck in 99 at the moment.
