If I have more than 1 track in the playlist and am playing the list, after 1 track finishes and the next gets ready to begin playing (timer is at 00:00), it just freezes there! It looks like the track's playing but, I get silence and the timer just stays at 00:00. In order to get the track to start playing, I have to hit "X" on my keyboard (this re-starts the track) or double-click the track title in the playlist! Does anyone else who has Winamp 2.81 have this same problem? If not, tell me how you got rid of it! I'm running Windows XP Professional, Build 2600 on a COMPAQ Presario with Intel Celeron @ 800 MHz with 128 MB of SDRAM, in case you need any of that.

I had same issue .... went back to 2.78 or 79

reinstalling didn't do anything

I'm also having other weird happening with my comp more and more often : I download an executable and when I try to access the folder the machine locks up and slows down like crazy .... then either the icons slowly start showing up ( after I've had the time for a nap ) or the machine just sits there and does nothing so I have to hit the power button.

It seems like my problem has been fixed! Since I NEVER uninstall my programs before installing a new version of it, I decided to give this a try. It works! Everything's fine and dandy with Winamp 2.81!!! I wonder when Winamp 2.99's going to come out?

Winamp 3.0 was annoying.....so i'm sticking with 2.80.....i have had very few problems with it and i'm happy with it. Sorta like windows 98..i have win98 SE and i have had few problems with it. I'm of the opinion.....if it ain't broke.....don't fix it.
