Got any good Rhodes plugs to recommend?

Been listening to lots of blues lately, fell in love with the sound. :)

I am looking for good, natural sound. Preferably a plug with sampled sounds, not the ty sylenth emulation presets.

I figured some of you may have some experience with this, so please help out.

I have googled both this site and general interwebs for this, but I didn't find anything concrete.

Thanks in advance.

And simply for your listening pleasure ;)

AAS Lounge Lizard

Native Instruments' Elektrik Pianos was decent, but it's been discontinued. However, those libraries were included with Kontakt 4 (and presumably K5).

NI also has the Scarbee Vintage Electric Keys library for Kontakt/Kontakt Player:

Lounge Lizard is excellent.

It is. Just demo'd it, sounds really good, I'm more than satisfied. The price is throwing me off a little, but since I have some extra cash at hand, it will be well worth it in the long run.

Anything Kontakt-related is off the limits for now.

Thanks a lot to Cryo, still accepting eventual advice, though :)

the scarbee one is still my favourite. Don't care for lounge lizard. It just lacks grit.

Half price from this guy:

If his is no longer available, post a WTB ad over there in the MarketPlace. It's the best online plugin software classifieds around. Lounge Lizard frequently comes up for sale over there for cheap.

you can use the free player which for a piano isn't really a big deal as there isn't much you would want to do with the scripting.

Yea I've always felt the same. Demoed it a number of times and never really had a good feel for it.

I read it's good also.

You can run Lounge Lizard through all kinds of saturation/dirt plugins to add that stuff. Saturn (as always) is an excellent choice.

I was also gonna post about using KVR as a WTB resource, it almost always comes up with the goods.

I am aware. However, since I'm planning to get Komplete in 2013, together with some packages, I'll just lay off Kontakt until then.

Depends on what you're using it for. I'll probably just use it as a background, subtle sound, almost a pad type. If I want it to sound otherwise, I'll just route it through a harmonizer, saturaton, transient designer, guitar amp or whatever the hell to achieve interesting results.

I'm looking for a specialized unit. It's a great synth though.

Just demo'd it. Sounds like the thing, but it sounds sterile, lacks soul.
