I'm not really sure what you're trying to say there with that blanket statement, but it doesn't really address my point...

Anyways, obviously nobody is going to hand mdma out like candy if it were legalized, just like they don't hand out booze or cigarettes right now. But, the whole point of legalization (as opposed to decriminalization), is so that it CAN be bought and sold freely on the open market. So in some capacity, it WILL be made easily available for purchase, and just like with alcohol, stupid people will make poor decisions with it.

Stuff like this will def not allow the legalization? Or would it give argument for "clean" pills

Not sure how many people have been following Harper's lovely omnibus BS, but part of the highly undemocratic law changes in there bump MDMA up to the same level as Coke and Heroin in terms of severity of getting caught with it. 3 more years... :(

i'm on the side of facts and support legalizing and controlling all these substances. But MDMA whether pure or dirty has such a insignificant impact on society that to legalize that without legalizing drugs that have a huge impact ie heroin or crack and reducing the negative footprint being an addict for a drug that is expensive and dangerous , it would be rather silly. The point is harm cost reduction. Not for you to get high.

I honestly don't see this happening in Canada ever. People here are to conservative.

I also heard the new law against any amphetamine (MDMA, METH,K...) carries a 2 year minimum sentence for possession of 0.1 g.

Harper and the sheeple that gave him power

Well most Canadians support marijuana legalization and generally reducing drug-related penalties, so I wouldn't say its not possible. The important question is whether the politicians are more in touch with the people or with corporate interests.

Canadians tend to be fiscally conservative, but overall, there aren't too many countries that are noticeably more socially liberal. Maybe the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Norway...that's probably about it.

Source? If true, thats awful. Does anywhere in the US even have laws that harsh?

To be fair, most people I heard from who voted for the Conservatives didn't support Harper's crime/prison plans either, they voted for them based on their supposed "economic record" (i.e. giving them credit for Canada having weathered the recession fairly well - despite that being thanks mostly to regulations put in place by the previous Liberal government).

I wasn't comparing us to other country's when I said we are to conservative. I just don't see it happening here TBH. We've been going on with the marijuana thing for so long and since Harper we have been moving further away from legalization.

Source from a friend who was reading the fine print of the bills passed recently. I didn't read it myself so I won't say its a fact, but scary as F if it is.

And you know what the people who voted for Harper are kinda sheeple. I'm sorry but I knew very well what was going to happen when he got his majority. The conservatives were trying to pass stuff like this when they had a minority, they just rename old bills and try again until they pass. I think a lot of what's going on out ways any economic gains, which seems to be empowering big business and not the regular Canadian. FFS he sells Asbestos to poor country's how do you vote for someone like that?
