| Interesting. Maybe insomniac will scale back their nationwide presence, but I think they've built their festival brands successfully enough that I don't see potentially higher priced talent bringing them down. They can just cut back on their bookings, getting a few less superstars and a few more mid tier guys or even (gasp) locals. Their 's gonna sell out anyway as long as this EDM wave is cresting. |

the writer goes on about Disco Donnie leaving.... and somehow he neglects to mention that Disco Donnie Presents was bought recently by SFX for $XX,000,000. SFX is the company that started Live Nation years ago...
Stands to reason that with this capital infusion, DDP might not need Insomniac and if Donnie was heavily involved with Insomniac on some level (as i've heard from a very knowledgeable person), he probably couldn't remain in the same capacity due to this new deal.
BTW, I was told during EDC-week some very interesting news about an acquisition of an event by DDP.... if true, its big news... |

Everyone could leave from insomniac and they would just hire new people.. easy as that.
too much money involved now for it to crash |

| i had been hearing about rifts within the company.....power struggles, and rumors of pasquale being forced out....looks like that didnt happen, but i know of some promoters in certain cities in the midwest who might not be able to afford to promote some of the shows they have been recently.....will be interesting to see how it all plays out |
