Caleb Golston - Mega (Original Mix) [Be Critical]

I uploaded a few ideas in the past two months that have fallen through. I want to go to the next level and really push myself so I am not settling for anything less than a professional track. If that takes 2 years from now than that is what it is going to be. I waited until I had a good amount of the song complete to post this time. Any criticism is appreciated.

Hey I've tried a few times here but the link is blank?

Track needs to start out with a kick drum

the intro is paced too slowly

the lead doesn't sound loud enough or something

there's not much syncopation in the track to give it bump

the lead idea should be introed earlier

you need more content in the track to keep it interesting

K thanks for that. I have come up with some layers to add while listening while driving. The only disagreement I have is that I am using Arty 'Around the World' (the full 8+ minute version) as a guide and he intro's the lead exactly when I did, about 2:30 into the track.

Thanks Rich.

If this turns out I will be making a much shorter Radio Edit and a Remix which focuses on elements in the intro.

I just think its easier.

You have to think to that there's DJs that are still gonna beatmatch via kick drum, and generally warping is easier on a basic kick than it is with percussion only or a motif.

Oh, I agree about the kick, I already added it :) I was talking about when the lead comes in.

Add something to the second climax as well, itīs quite boring like this.

Yeah, I am trying to. It I am having a hard time fitting something in right now.

I updated the track with some of the suggestions. Main thing was I cut the sub from the lead and it seemed to give more energy.

Well done. I like the chords and the sounds. Very original vibe to it. Both climax need more energy in my opinion. Other than that you've got a winner that could get some interesting support if you make it end up in the right inbox.

What I think this track needs is a bit more big room feel. Try and make the chords sound wetter. More reverb and delay, maybe even a bit longer release on the climax as well. It's just to dry to give it that massive feel, also I'd look into finding a different bassline pattern, if not for the first then definitely for the second climax. Problem is the outro has more energy than de climax that came before it. It has teh awesome.

The only part of the song I really like is the transition to the outro :)

Thanks for the advice on adding delay and reverb. I have worked on it ALOT over the past few days and hit a brick wall and that helps.

I want it to be big room/main stage. Can't seem to get the climaxes right though.

Trying to give it a 'Big Room Reconstruction' errr I think there's a DJ that already uses that phrase...

As for remixing I would LOVE that. I send PM about it.
