Hitchens was a well educated man based on the videos you posted, but even I saw him cussing in some of his other clips. what is the incentive for uttering venom in front of crowds who came to see him, especially if they paid to get in?
and I hate to cause a forest fire, but there isn't a single atheist who thinks God doesn't exist. every one of them hates God with a passion, just like christians do in their natural, sinful state.
I'm not saying those kids in the video are atheists, but do I think they're christians? very doubtful. |

i hate the things people do in his name. That isn't belief. I think the point Hitchens gets across although he makes a more elaborate case in his book is that religion has just been a source of so much bad that to use it as a reason for morality is clearly not a tenable argument unless you are an idiot. And cussing and intelligence are not mutually exclusive. Religion and critical thought are.
But if there was a god, say your silly fairy tale was true. I would not want to be a part of that idiots ego tripping worship. I would rather go to hell than but a patsy for that ego maniacal psychopath. How you can support something that paints your leader as the biggest ing douche bag dick on the planet is just beyond me. I mean how do you not read the bible and think to yourself, that guy is a ing dick.
and to repeat what seems to have to be repeated every single time you talk to the religious, atheism is not a disbelief in god but rather an acknowledgement that there is no evidence for god. Religion is a fairy tale with no supportable evidence used to manipulate people, atheism is the rational mind questioning the overwhelming contradictions every religion seems to impose on what we can actually test and observe. But i think the main issue is that i would have no issue with idiots if they just minded their own affairs and stopped meddling. They can't. |

There was a lot of carnage in the bible, but God allowed or caused them to happen because it was the people's fault for sinning and acting crazy. God never did anything without rhyme or reason.
I can't believe what Dawkins said in The God Delusion:
“The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully.”
We rarely hear about the other side of God in the bible, and he's someone who's kind, compassionate, patient, and forgiving. That's no rhetoric to counter Dawkins' quote. He did so much good for people who obeyed him that I don't even know where to begin. |

so let me get this straight,
your religion which is based on books that make him out to be a dick is then argued by said followers that the bad in the book well don't believe that stuff too much because in reality he isn't a dick because we don't get to hear the other side ?
What other side. It is his ing book. You only get one side. That of the idiot peasant that mistakes some phenomenon like say lightening as god angry ? |

| I don't think anything should happen to them. Allow people to say what they want as long as it isn't threats or slander. Just be prepared to be judged by what you say but do not deny them the right to show themselves for who they really are. I mean what is the crime? Saying something mean? I am not defending what they said btw. |

i think you should be able to slap annoying kids around. I think that is a right you earn at age 30. I still can't get over how ing fat and ugly that bitch is tho. But we must learn to hate on this inside. Passive bullying. Like instead of calling her names, ask her if she needs help walking the length to the exit. That way she feels awful about her weight, but no bullying has occurred therefore she won't feel like the world is cruel rather she is an awful person.
I know as a child, we would of been thinking the same but the fear of getting your ass kicked made you not say . But then again, you didn't have fat people like that. So i don't know. |
