i remember being in gatecrasher about 10 years ago, i was mashed, and i can remember thinking what music would be like in 10 years time. its a really hard thing to do, in your head youd think that music would be completely different in 10 years time, yet in reality its the some old gubbins regurgitated with a different edge to it. so all in all music isnt really that different at all now from 10 years ago.
i guess if i had to pick anything that was completely different to anything seen before, it would have to be dubstep, but not the girly ass ******wank.. i mean the so called 'brostep' .. the skrillex'y type stuff. i know virtually no-one here likes it.. and im not really a fan myself, but i do enjoy some stinking dubstep from time to time.. even if just for the fact that its noisy, and out there, and it gets airtime on radio, and it dosnt really conform to anything that came out before really.
as for whats the NEXT big thing, like i said, its impossible to think of... but if i were take an educated guess and a guess that shows the sign of the times i.e regurgitating sounds and taking into account current trends... id probably say we're headed for some sort of electro DnB hybrid
