Featuring a very special extended set from:

ARMIN VAN BUUREN
(www.arminvanbuuren.com)

Armin van Buuren has been named number one in the prestigious DJ MAG Top 100 poll four times in a row, in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010, as the first DJ in the history of the DJ Magazine and an indication of his prolific output over the more than 15 years hes been djing and producing. In 2011, he became second in the critically acclaimed
popularity poll, taking in a Top 3 position for the 8th year running. Being one of the worlds most popular DJs is just one of his many achievements, but the driving force behind his success is an overriding passion for dance music.

JEROME ISMA AE
www.jeromeisma-aed.com, germany)

Hailing from Munich, Jerome Isma-Ae is one of the highest-selling, most successful Prog House DJ/producers of the last 3 years. He is reinventing and designing the sounds since the early years of EDM. Building, combining, releasing and holding on to a continuously sharp sound, fit for both timelessness and the current demands of the dancefloor society. German producer/DJ Jerome Isma-Ae sure kept h
imself busy over the past 15 years. But results are showing. With the characteristic Isma-Ae sound on his side, requested and praised by many, he's got the best weapon there is: the ability to stand out. Mind you, it's a weapon he won't hesitate to use.

Anyone know what time WB closes? Is it all the way to 3 am?
Haven't been out in Atl for 4 years lol.

Unrelated - is the atl section of TA always this ghost town?

Should take that as a hint, now, huh?

Anyway, Armin was pretty good, was kinda disappointed with how constant the energy level was though. Kept it at the same tempo / style for most of the show. I saw him in Chicago in May and he certainly was speeding it up about halfway through and getting into much trancier territory, playing tracks by Solarstone and such. I guess that's just a consequence of seeing him in a city where dance music is less popular, so he'll play more accessible stuff here. I still went nuts when he dropped ResuRection and Stresstest, though!

I do always get really pissed when people give me weird looks for singing along to tracks. Sorry I'm not sorry I know all the words to I'll Listen and Burned with Desire. I guess it's only cool if you go to "raves" for the drugs and fistpumping but not for the actual music

Had I not been out of town I would have been there singing Burned With Desire with you. Pumped to hear he played it. I've gotten those kinds of stares for almost 10 years now. My favorite times are when I'm in the car stuck in traffic and I'm singing along to a song like Markus Schulz's Perfect and neighboring cars stare at me. Good times. Be proud!

I thought this was the best set I've ever heard him play in Atlanta.. from 1am - 2am he DESTROYED it. Was happy I went to this.

It has been awhile since the Atlanta forums has seen a review besides "sucked" or "awesome" so I figured this night was worthy of it.

I liked everything about this night.

First, the venue:
Amazing place to have a large scale party, friendly staff, strong drinks (well at least at the bar I went to), free places to sit. Lots of dancing room. And despite me hearing about how long the line got, it ran at a fast pace. It was wrapped around the building when I arrived at 10:30 and I was in within 20 minutes. The lighting and sound were great as well.

Second, the crowd:
Really friendly crowd, people did not mind making new friends and talking in line. Once inside despite it being packed no one was really pushy if you wanted to make your way to the front / middle. The crowd was also VERY energetic. Who cares if they did not all know the lyrics they were all dancing and moving and enjoying themselves. It was the highest level of energy I had seen from an Armin show this year.

Third. Armins set:
I thought it was great for Armin. This year he has been playing a lot better than the last 3 years. I thought the energy level was right, it really was full on for a good 2 hours. Epic night of music. Of course people will disagree but I enjoyed the heck out of it. It actually showed me why I like trance besides PVD lately.

I have seen Armin quite a few times this year. Miami twice, Ibiza twice, Bal en Blanc, EDC Vegas. This was my favorite set from him this year. Well..... it could be tied with his Miami Music week set at Mansion. :wtf:

All in all, I would drive down to see any trance act at Wild Bills. Loved everything about that place. My friends that went with me whole heartedly agree. My girlfriend was expecting nothing from this night. She was thrilled she went afterwards. Thumbs up!
