No , the line was all the way down the block and around the corner when I got there a little after 11. Security told me that even hard ticket holders had to wait in that line, but I asked a manager right outside the door and got express entry since I was wearing a shirt with the Special Guest DJ's on it. :) Anyone with a hard ticket should have priority access anyway though, not like they have to do anything except scan it, and really defeats the point of getting a hard ticket when you have to wait behind all the will call ticket holders. /rant

Every set that I heard was great, I think the crowd and vibe really got the DJ's going strong. I didn't know how a single vocalist could pull off singing for more than a song or two on a nightclub stage, but Emma did it! :D

Just when I thought the club was going to close at 3 without the Special Guest DJ's, Cosmic Gate came on and rocked Exchange until 4, latest I've ever seen it go. After the lights came on, the crowd started shouting "Emma, Emma!" and security brought her down from behind the stage to autograph CD's, tickets, etc. Nice to see that, compared to the many times I've seen security at different clubs yell "Go home, get out, party's over people, etc."

Actually you're wrong about this one, Insomniac has had print at home tickets that can be scanned for a while now, so it's not like hard tickets deserve any more special treatment.

Didn't know, I retract that comment then. Waiting in line with hard or "instant" tickets behind people who can't find their ID, are having names looked up on clipboards, etc. drives me nuts though! Worst was for John Digweed once, when I waited over 40 minutes in line with a will-call ticket since there was only one line. If someone has their together and buys a ticket two months ahead, they shouldn't be thrown behind last-minute cash customers in a huge line. :)

the long ass line was pretty stupid, though i'd say it wasnt the worst line for this concert series i've seen (that would have been the tritonal line)

my friends and i got there around 1030 figuring we'd easily make the start of norin and rad's set and missed it by like 10 min.

overall though the night was pretty much awesome. i got my tickets really early and well for $20 how can you top that lineup. its not possible. some of the other awakening's lineups one dj was meh or something, but this one all of the sets were just great. also have to say i loved that shogun played exploration of space when cosmic gate showed up at 3ish.

i've seen cosmic gate with emma.... 3 times since memorial day weekend. and its still awesome!

seen cg so many times lately i wasn't really there for them, but i told myself i had to stay until they dropped their new tune 'godskitchen beyond sound anthem' or whatever... so glad i did, that song is beastly. they also played loops and tings which was a nice bonus. :)

have to say i loved shogun's set as well, just straight cheese all the way through and unapologetic about it, good :P
