Killer album. Some samples:

Kind of meh. I mean I'm a big Delta Funktionen fan and was hoping for some killer deep cuts like on his first two EPs, but most of tracks on there don't really grab me. I mean, the electro tracks are nice (especially the first track) but overall the tracks aren't outstanding, if you ask me.

Not a bad album by any means, but I was hoping for more.

Which is, according to you, the best techno album of the year? I found Forward Strategy Group's "Labour Division" to be interesting as well. Puresque's "Leitmotiv" was pretty good too however kind of simplistic in the eyes of our pretentious RA.

Maybe I've missed something.

Uh I'd say up until now Voices From The Lake. But there's 3 Deepchord records coming this year so that'll change :p The FSG and Puresque one's had some nice tracks but are rather average as overall album efforts IMO.
Chimney
Hehe, yea. I find "Traces" to be above average though, personal opinion. Gave Shifted's "Crossed Paths" a couple of listens but for some odd reason still haven't managed to make an impression of it...oddly enough.

Because it's extremly one-dimensional and forgettable. I mean the guy has done some nice EPs, but dark Techno just hardly works in an album format.

I don't even know why all these Techno producers suddenly think they have to put out albums. Because 90% of them would've been better spread out on 2-3 EPs.

Absolutely. Dettmann's triple pack for example. Denhert's albums. So boring.

I never quite could get into Ben Klock's work. But Dehnert's "Fachwerk 25" was pretty good.

Need to check this out. So far this year I think I've enjoyed the albums from Voices From The Lake, Petar Dundov and Claro Intelecto the most, techno wise.

I heard the new Frozen Border compilation is worth checking out. There's also the Ann Aimee compilation which is from this year I think. Neither are artist albums but are still solid techno LPs.

Frozen Border had some killer singles but the compilation is mostly very average IMO.

Agreed with Woony, I was expecting much more as well. The Dean Cole and the Blawan tracks are the only outstanding there, for me at least.
