I'm planning a bachelor party in August. We definitely wanna do an EDM pool party, and since I doubt Palms will have anything better than Pauly D or the dude from Black Eyed Peas, I've basically narrowed it down to Marquee or Encore, with maybe Wet Republic as a possibility if they have an interesting DJ. With that, a couple questions:
1) I had a friend tell me that Marquee Dayclub has a tiny area where you can hear the DJ, and that Encore Beach Club is generally better. True?
2) What is generally the price of a cabana at the dayclub or beach club? I've heard numbers like 6-10k for 10 people? That is super high... also we're rolling with all dudes, so if anyone has experience doing a bachelor party thing at a pool party please let me know what you did!
Thanks guys. |

encore beach club is nicer but i think i prefer marquee dayclub, and you can hear the music wherever you are, not just limited to a small area.
while cabanas may cost that much, im sure you can get a daybed for about 1k 4-6 comps. |

| Both are solid parties. Encore is going to feel more like a pool party, while Marquee is basically an outdoor club that has a pool. |

Roger Sanchez does play a few gigs at the Palms this summer during the daytime... if you get lucky with Roger spinning that would cost a lot less than the other venues for a cabana there.
$6-10k sounds high for Marquee unless its Kaskade or Avicii spinning. i'd guess $3k-5k for that many guys.
I have a contact there if you want. |

might just be due to whenever i hit vegas but...
Marquee for Sat - tend to have more trance on Saturdays pool parties. found that you can skip the table/cabana and just get pre-sales...you skip the lines with pre-sales even if it is all dudes. seems like when the headliner gets off the decks the place clears out also, another reason why it would be a waste to pay for a table/cabana.
Encore for Sun - bigger and has more of pool party vibe. but don't get me wrong...if you catch it with a decent head liners there will be a bunch of peep that love EDM and sing along to the vocal tracks. i would strongly advise getting a table... |

It actually looks like Marquee is weaker on Saturdays nowadays since Insomniac is doing their Wet Wonderland parties on Sundays. Same thing with Tao Beach - Sundays seem to be the DJ days. So I was thinking of going with Encore Beach Club. Might just get a few daybeds if the cabanas are at outrageous prices.
Just waiting to see who the DJ is at each club... Ironically I want it to be NOT super famous like Tiesto because that way it will be cheaper. Hopefully it's not Guetta |

theres nothing comp about spending 1k...
there was a thread up earlier this year about spending limits...thats a better way to go.
get a lilipad for $500 spending limit and you get 4 guys in free or so. then just drink as you would...
pay $50 cover, but 5 long islands at $20 each = $150.
pay $500, get place to chill, not pay $200 in covers and buy 25 long islands at $20 each... |
