Save the Last Tarnce: The Last Tarnce Mix You Will Ever Need

I was challenged once more, to bring to the world a mix that would be even greater than my last and put time into a complete standstill.
Greatness like this, is seldomly seen and appreciation of such greatness is even more rare thus I must clarify my own brilliance. The flow of the entire set was completely
designed from the ground up,with every little detail examined and then re examined. BPM, Key, tonality, mix clarity, structure, phrasing, spectral intensity, length, reverb density, RMS levels, motif
usage, RMS versus peak levels, and production timelessness were all considered to make a mix that would go beyond everything that was already out there.

The mix was created with 9 individual gold technic 1200's routed into a 16 channel SSL X-Desk and then rerouted into a Harrison 32c for extra analog warmth. To top it all off,
Rob Babicz mastered the entire mix to add take off another 2.26 db and add more analog thump. The final sonic test was to pass the mix onto Bob Katz who remarked,"
It's overcompressed," which confirmed that the mix was ready to be shipped. Hal Douglas was commissioned to do voice over work for the introduction. I could not bear myself
the guilt of putting people into a shock of greatness, so the introduction was added on later to ease regular people.

Hal Douglas - Introduction to Greatness
Richard Durant - Sunhump 2006(Original Mix)
Three Drives - Greece 2000(Original Mix)
Jaia - Out of Orbit(vibrasphere analog tape mix)
Tilt - The World Doesn't Know(Original Mix)
Sasha - Xpander(12" Remastered Version)
Mike Koglin - The Silence(Tekara Mix)
Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar(John '00' Fleming Remix)
DJ Tiesto - Suburban Train(Original Mix)
The Thrillseekers - Synaesthasia(En motion remix)

I'm not a music journalist, but if I were I would give this mix a 10 out of 10.

The shining tapestry of the brilliant sonic colours, delight and overwhelm my normally dull senses to transport me into a flowing wonderland. Listening to this mix,
my entire body started to convulse violently and I thought I was having a long and overdue seizure. But no, it was something more than that: my primal nature was being reborn.
This mix reached down into the darkest depths of my soul, and pulled out my primal being. I can now dance for life.

No quote from whoreyfella :(

The mix doesn't really flow well in my opinion. It's fun to hear some classics again after quite a while. That Tiesto track still is a killer. The only decent artist album hem made :).

This may be the last trance set I will ever hear, I feel fulfilled.

To me as a real DJ noob the transitions sounds nice. Maybe the flow could have been a little better but as I only had the mix on in the background and as you are the trance-god of our time I may have to reconsider.

You gave me inspiration to dust off my MC6000 now. Thanks

Edit: What is the name of the tune at 12.40 in the June mix? Awesome

Yeah, I just wanted my most favorite tracks in the mix and then shoved them together.

yes my good, Tiesto had some really epic tunes back then.

Transitions were all done in Ableton...you couldn't really do it live unless you practiced really well and had some plug ins set up before hand.

Timewarping isn't that hard and doesn't require much practice.
