Nice. Checking this out right now.
As for his new music.. he's got some pretty good tracks on his new album. I personally enjoy the direction that he's been taking the past couple years. His melodies and song structures are quite predictable, but that seems to be his forte. He gives you something that's easy on the ears and has a familiar sound to it, yet it's still refreshing and unique.
Looking forward to hearing him when he passes through here!
Two guys that I really enjoy when it comes to this sort of music are Michael Cassette and Tom Middleton. The sample from this song is quite obvious, but I love what they both did with it.

Haha. Fair points, although I don't believe 'cheese' is fair. I'm sure it could be argued that it takes a unique set of talents to balance that line, and I for one love his newest productions and his new CD. "You" is simply unbelievable, "Sunburst" rocks my world, and "Leja" is very special. I don't believe any of those tracks are very commercial in my mind. Very unique, Swedish sounds. (Like Olander)

his m83 remix, 2night , cirez d mokba + the above 2 tracks can easily be classified as cheese
i like the simple melodies he comes up with though, but theyre older.. i guess he saw shm get payed n he wanted to get some money too lol. i bet if he did a pryda track for bedrock or LNOE it would be a lot better than his recent stuff.. maybe even a cirez d track on true soul

I guess to me is cheese because I know how much less so things can get and you don't (necessarily) so basically we have different thresholds. Don't get me wrong, there is far worse, but I just find his newer stuff too obvious and simple.

I was thinking the same thing after hearing a few of his newer tracks. It's not full out cheese but it has a lot of predictability + that Avicii sounding synth stuff that even deadmau5 started using with his new track veldt. In all fairness Prydz has been using lots of melodies and synths before it became cheese, but it would've been nice to see him switch it up now that the sound is so overplayed.
Ultimately the man is still killing it and has by no means sold out. But he's put himself on such a pedestal in the past with high quality productions it's hard to stay up there imo.
