People have fought long and hard to get this country where it is when it comes to equality -- there's still a long way to go, of course, and it's not time to just ignore something like this because then it just tells people it's OK to do it. We don't need attitudes like that around here.
This said, a proper thing to do was for them to pick a bunch of other clubs (especially ones that tend to be centric to some behavior), and see if any type of similar door behavior was observed. I am sure there are other, non-asian clubs which do similar bull. Across all races. And they all be closed, because it only hurts our society.

Here's my sense... People need to find better things to do with their time. If you find yourself doing like this, maybe it's time to become a caped crusader.
The fact of the matter is, they aren't hurting anyone. Their club doesn't affect you in any way, shape, or form. In my opinion they have every right to pick and choose who enters. Race, religion, weight, sex, whatever. It's a private business, not a hospital. |

After reading the "racist nightclub" title I was surprised to see this had to do with asians, and then I saw that the club was predominately Korean and it made sense.
Pretty sketch on their part, but if I were him I just wouldn't give that club my business. If anything this just got the club more publicity, attracting asians who only want to go clubbing with other asians. |

I was actually turned away from an "asian" club night in san jose one time when I went out with my (taiwanese) GF, their excuse being that my US passport wasn't good enough ID for them (I'd lost my drivers license at the time). Shortly afterward they let in a trio of east asian girls with foreign passports.
I just think it's funny, but that's because i'm a white male and I can count the times i've been discriminated against on one finger. :p |

i use to go in high school (only place where they didnt care if you were underage) and i remember how pissed some of the guys were when they got girls coming to their tables that were asian (but not korean)...
You TAs are not missing out on much..just watered down bottles of crown royal and johnny walker and $100 fruit plates... |
