Must be the worst thing. I find anything related to the TA forums on Google i come to a weird formatted version containing ads than i usually come across when browsing the threads internally from the forums.
Other thing is the search function which is quite outdated by a long shot. When i haven't got a clue of the year the post was made or anything by Sasha, for example searching the tracklist for Sasha live @ Pacha 2006 i can't find the thread because i don't know which god damn year it was posted even if it didn't show any results for the year 2006 because the first thing that i would search.
I remember i could search entirely from the beginning but that was long time ago. I guess the internet-speed hasn't evolved much in Canadada since 2000. Or was the stress on the server to great to handle? I don't know...

...when you search for everything it causes a massive load on the server.
I agree the current one isn't the best but tell me what you want to find and I'll dig it up |

The search has been broken for a long time. You can try all different combinations of fields and you wont be able to find old threads. Google knows this site better than this site knows this site. I'm not bitching because I dont use it too often to begin with, but TA search logic is absolutely without a doubt broken. Swamper: This isnt a shot at you. I'm thankful to have a place to come and hang out/laugh/kill time. So dont take this as a complaint. Just helping the OP confirm that he's not nucking futz. |

This board also has other normal vBulletin options disabled, like searching for all threads started by a particular user, and the link to a user's latest post in their profile.
Probably also something to do with server load, I guess. |

Yeah, this week I had to Google for a thread of which I knew I replied to less then 6 months ago. Searching on "Search title only" even didn't bring it up. I thought I misspelled it, but Google showed that wasn't the case. I knew the search function wasn't very good, but I was a bit surprised it was this bad actually.
Maybe just link to Google then? |

Nice to know i'm not the only one having this opinion. I don't blame Swamper cause this has been like a a home for the past 12 years and i couldn't live without it. The search engine fault is a minor but irritating problem but i guess he could fix it sooner or later anyhow.
Now i just miss TA Forum support for Tapatalk for my android device and my life would be complete.
